LG plans to continue to pursue its celebrity marketing campaign this year

LG's top marketing officer said "LG is try to keep products innovative to attract the customers and to capture more market share from Samsung and Apple in global smartphone market and occupy first place in the global TV market by 2015".

LG launched 6 new models of its Whisen air conditioner for 2013 and selected the Korean ‘Tinker Bell’ rhythmic gymnast Son Yeon-jae as its advertisement model last year.
Insider at LG Electronics evaluated that growing popularities of Son yeon jae after last year's London Olympics have greatly contributed to strengthen the brand image and improve sales overall.
The new model is the first product of the ‘G Project’ that integrated top-notch innovative technologies of Whisen, and it is named ‘Son Yeon-jae Special G’.
Son yeon jae was also featured in LG's smartphone line-up ad ,Optimus Vu II TV advertisement in 2012, Optimus Vu III in 2013.

LG home appliances marketing has led by 3 other korean female stars as well.

Meanwhile LG picked actress Lee Min-Jung as model for washing machine and K-pop girl group SNSD as marketing ambassador for TV line-up.

Choi seong jin, LG Home Appliances marketing & Product Manager said "sales of LG washing machines increased 2% and refrigerators went up by 1.7 % in 40 countries world wide last year, We are planning to continue to pursue our celebrity marketing campaign featuring 4 korean celebrity this year,"
