Galaxy s5 set for an early 2014 release with eye-scanning sensor?

This is something you should strictly file under rumors but there's speculation that samsung's galaxy s5 is likely to be announced sometime in january and released later in February, 2014.
Samsung's next-generation Galaxy S5 smartphone could feature an eye-scanning sensor. Previous rumors have revealed that the Samsung Galaxy S5 will possibly use a fingerprint sensor, just like the Apple iPhone 5S. According to AndroidSaS, the forthcoming Samsung Galaxy S5 might use an eye-scanning sensor to unlock the device. This futuristic feature will allow users to unlock the phone with their eyes.

The Galaxy S5 is expected to be Samsung’s first flagship to ditch Samsung’s trademark platic design for a metal construction. Samsung is also planning to launch F-Series, an upcoming lineup of handsets having premium build quality with metal bodies.

In addition it is also expected to have an Exynos 5430 “true” octa-core chip based on 64-bit architecture and a 16 megapixel camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) with a 5.5-inch Full HD display, 3GB RAM, 32GB/64GB/128GB of ROM (expandable memory), 4G LTE-A, waterproof and dust-resistant, Android 4.4 Kitkat, and a 3000mAh battery inside.

Both the Samsung Galaxy S III and Galaxy S4 were released in the second quarter, but Samsung, reportedly, is rushing the next flagship device launch due to weaker than expected Galaxy S4 sales.
