Seoul city's new sky blue electric-powered taxis in 2015

Starting from later 2015, Seoul will have 40 ELECTRIC-powered taxis offering their services around the capital.
Corporationowned taxi will begin to operate in July 8th and privately owned taxi will operate starting in August, 10th.

The city government says that the electric taxis are designed in sky blue color instead of the common orange paint job to highlight the eco-friendliness.

The fare for the electric cabs will be the same as regular ones, starting at 3-thousand won, or less than 3 U.S. dollars.

The cost for charging the cars will be paid by the city and the Korea Environment Corporation.
The city will support all expenses for the project including car purchase cost, electric charging cost, and charging station building cost.
