SBS 's 'Laws of the Jungle with Friends' kept the top spot in viewer ratings for its time slot

SBS variety program 'Laws of the Jungle with Friends' continued to dominate as #1 in viewer ratings for its time slot

According to AGB Nielsen Media Research, the Febuary 27th broadcast of 'Laws of the Jungle' achieved an 13.7% viewer rating, which is actually a 1.9% increase from its previous viewer rating of 11.8%.

"Law of the jungle with Friends" recovered from falling out of the ratings for the past 3 weeks and it was the only show with a double-digit ratings on friday night.

Meanwhile, the same time slot broadcast MBC's 'I Am a Singer 3' recorded 4.3%.

Korean celebrities with "homme fatale" pics on Vogue Korea


Fashion magazine, Vogue Korea revealed several wacky celebrities pics with comment "stars who portray an image of Homme Fatal who gracing the pages of Vogue Korea" through its official Facebook accounts on 27th.

Photos, including Yoo jae-suk, Lee Kwang-soo, Lee guk-joo, Oh Man-seok, Jo-Kwon, Taeyang, Ko Chang-seok, Ahn Young-mi and Jay Park, showed off the sexy and wacky side with the past issues of Vogue Korea.
Especially picture of Yoo jae suk wearing make up without his glass from the July, 2011 edition of Vogue which was part of the 'MBC Infinite Challenge' pictorial calendar project has gained attention from netizens.

Korean Users Spend An Average Of 2 Hours Per Day On Mobile Apps, More Than Twice of American Users


Google’s direct of product management for mobile ads, Jonathan Alferness said at a press conference held at the Google Korea office in Seoul,Korea on 26th "According to Google research, South Korea is the country with second-highest smartphone penetration rate at 80 percent following Singapore and Korean users spend a average of 13.4 hours per week on mobile app which is more than watching TV (9 hours) and more than twice the US consumer's average mobile app usage time per week(6.3 hours)."

He added, "75% of Korean users do research on the Web to compare various apps before downloading it, but 95% of the installed apps were left unused after a month so various Google services such as Google Search, YouTube and Google's ad network can help consumers find the good apps and bring influx of new consumers through the google ads,"

Alferness said "Asia-Pacific countries such as Korea, China, Japan spend a lot of time using the app and spend the average of 4hours more playing mobile games per week compared to the United Kingdom and United States."
He also highly appreciated a good Korean app and mobile game developers such as Mobirix and 433.co.kr.

Korean's favorite hobby and culture survey 2015

Korean's favorite hobby is mountain climbing and favorite pet is dog according to recent survey

On 25th, according to the survey of 1,700 South Koreans aged 13 and older, conducted by Gallup Korea on the subject of Korean's favorite hobby and culture, 14% of respondents chose mountain hiking as their favorite hobby followed by listening to music (6%), exercise/fitness (5%), Games (5%).

In terms of age group, 40 or more chose mountain hiking as favorite hobby while teenagers and 20-somethings were split by gender, with males favoring video games and females opting to listen to music, therefore it showed a gender and generational difference between age groups.

The most favorite sports of Korean is soccer(18%), mountain hiking(13%), baseball (10%), swimming (8%) and so on.

64% of respondents answered dog when asked which animal is their favorite pet followed by cats (9%) and the bird (1%), rabbits (1%), hamsters (1%), etc.
By dog breed, 14 percent said they wanted to raise a poodle, followed by the native Jindo dog with 13 percent and a Maltese with 12 percent.

Also, 19% of respondents chose movie "Roaring Currents,(2014)" as their most recently watched impressive film followed by "Miracle in Cell No.7,(2012)"(6%), "The Attorney,(2013)"(5%) and "Masquerade,(2012)"(4%).

As of February 22, Samsung's Galaxy note4 is number one best selling smartphone for 14 consecutive weeks but Samsung’s Galaxy Note series are facing stiff challenges from iPhone 6 series, while its midlevel and low-end smartphone shipments were undercut by inexpensive Chinese brands.
Their flagship smartphone, Galaxy S5 is selling poorly in Korea and China,the company's second-largest market as well.

Apple was a solid number two in South Korean smartphone rankings. Apple’s position was attributed to the success of its first large-size smartphone model, the iPhone 6 Plus.

LG and Pantech finally made one model on the Top 10 list after absent from the list for many weeks.



Korea's First Amphibious Tour Bus in Incheon City


The amphibian bus is set to begin tours of Ara canal in Incheon city, west of Seoul, on May, 2015.

The amphibian bus will enter the sea from Incheon ferry terminal and will be arrived at the nearby pier at Ara waterway shipboard park after the tour.

The amphibian bus will carry 30~35 passengers and had test-run in waters off Incheon, on Oct. 13, 2014.
Sightseeing tours will last about 75 minutes(60 minutes by land and 15 minutes by sea) and are due to begin in May 2015.
Two Amphibious bus will operate 7 times a day.

Fares are ₩ 30,000($27) for adults and ₩ 25,000($23) for teenagers.
