On April 11th, the Samsung Galaxy S5 was released in more than 125 countries. This included crucial markets like North America and Europe, as well as emerging markets across Asia.
The first day sales of Samsung’s latest flagship smartphone were 1.3 times higher than that of its predecessor, Galaxy S4.
In some European markets the demand is believed to be twice higher for Galaxy S5, with people even lining up outside stores in a few cities to get their hands on Samsung’s latest flagship smartphone.
On the global launching day, Samsung Electronics held a series of special launching events all around the world.
