Pyeongchang Trout Festival 2013

 

7th Pyeongchang Trout Festival 2013, one of Korea's major winter festivals, will take place from December 20, 2013 to February 2, 2014 at the area around Odaecheon Stream in Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon-do.

In ancient times, Koreans’ ancestors had to break winter’s ice to catch fish in the frozen waters of rivers and lakes. This made a typical winter meal. The Pyeongchang Trout Festival remembers the past by recreating this experience. Bring the whole family to catch fish using the tools of our ancestors and enjoy the sight of trout through the clean ice.

There will be ice fishing, tent ice fishing, bare handed trout catching, snow sledding and plenty of other winter activities for the family to enjoy together.

Fees : Enterance is free , various rental charge for fishing equipment
