Seoul Aqua Bus in Summer 2017

One of the bridges crossing Seoul's Han River is transforming into a sandy beach this summer


Jamsu Bridge, one of the bridges crossing Seoul's Han River is transforming into a sandy beach for three days with free admission.
From Aug. 11 to 13. many sun beds and parasols will be set up on the bridge that will be covered with tons of sands.
Seoul city government announced on Wendsday that it will provide a city resort for its citizens by controlling traffics on the entire section of the bridge.

The 'Jamsu bridge Beach' project refers to the 'Paris-Rousseau (Paris beach)' of the Seine River in Paris, France, which creates artificial beaches during summer holidays.

To make the Hangang Bridge a sandy beach, the city of Seoul will go on massive sand transportation. The city plans to transport about 810 tons of sand from the ready-mixed concrete companies. After carrying out the sand several times in a 25-ton truck, they will puts about 30 man power into spreading sands. After that, 60 parasols and 60 sunbeds will be placed, and a water slide (150m) for three people using a bridge's slope is also installed, charging 10,000 won ($8.92) for a ride.

The sale of Jeju dog heats up competition among hunters and dog lovers in Korea


In 2017, the competition rate for the sale of Jeju dog was 27.55 to 1.

It is said that the Jeju dogs which are originated from china is believed to have settled in a unique environment of Jeju island since 3,000 years ago.

Jeju dogs are similar in shape and color to Jindo dogs, but Jindo dogs have their tail raised, while Jeju dogs have a nearly straight tail. The body length of the grown Jeju dog is 49 ~ 55㎝, the weight is 12 ~ 16kg and the life span is around 15 years.

Samsung's Galaxy Wide 2 is selling much better-than-expected in Korea


Samsung's Galaxy Wide 2, which SK Telecom launched in May this year, is gaining unprecedented popularity which is every bit as popular as other premium smartphones.

According to the mobile communication industry on May 5, the Galaxy Wide 2 has been selling more than 2,000 units a day since its launch.

Galaxy Wide 2 was ranked fourth in the smartphone sales rankings of SK Telecom as of July, following the premium products such as Galaxy S8 and S8 +.

The Galaxy Wide, which was released in July last year and surpassed 500,000 units cumulative sales, is ranked fifth in sales after Galaxy Wide 2. In fact, the Galaxy Wide series is sold at an average of 3,000 to 4,000 units daily.
